This is a summing up of our results of the past development.

We worked on the game

Jorik is a novice programmer entertainer

and

Tatar is the main engine for art and sounds

Briefly about the concept

We decided to make a product where you - the player - will have to take control of an adept of the jam potion school.

The adept under your control must pass the exam on the preparation of the great decoction

MoleJam (Krotovuha - translated from ancient Tatar).

You have to grow all the reagents yourself, and then convert them into 5 potions

what will become the basis of Krotovuha.

Briefly about the development

Start:

The first week of development was active

On the first three days, all sprites were drawn. It was decided to reduce the resolution of sprites to save time

and the allocation of this time for writing and adding music and sounds.

Programming of the main functionality of the game was completed by the end of the week.

The problems were the completion of logic for the potion preparation sequence

and the conditions under which the growth of different types of seeds is ensured.

Many mistakes were made in setting up the system of events in an attempt to keep up with the time

But the witch was already confidently working with her hoe and holding potions in her hands

You need to plant and grow a seed to obtain a reagent, and to grow a seed, you need to perform a number of actions

tied to seeds of a specific color.

The solution for resuming the number of seeds on the map was enemies. Killing innocent animals that do not want to harm you

becomes your ticket to completing the exam.Don't be afraid, when they "die" they run away.

Adjusting the behavior of opponents has not become a bigger problem. Just a couple of days of work . The result is satisfactory. Opponents are able to interact with the boiler, beds and push hard. And you beat them with a hoe.

To give the player the task of growing reagents , a task was attached to each seed to solve which

new buildings were created

Green seeds - after planting, you need to plow

Blue seeds - pour water from the fountain

Yellow seeds - to introduce fertilizer from a composter

Red seeds - to water with the blood of innocent animals

Purple seeds - require all of the above actions.

And the minimum necessary training from the main menu

Results

It was a good experience of creating a completed project in a limited time. The ability to output negative and positive

moments of our work (plan better!!!).

I haven't learned how to write a soundtrack.

A good two weeks of headache
